DA up 3% to 31%

Dearness allowance news for July 2021 has been announced in October. Earlier, the dearness allowance for January 2021 was announced in July. Dearness allowance was frozen in the year 2020 due to Corona infection. After this, in July 2021, 11 percent DA was increased simultaneously. Now it has increased by 3 percent. How much will the salary increase by increasing 3%?

According to the 7th Pay Commission Matrix, the salary range of Level-1 of central employees ranges from a minimum of Rs 18,000 to a maximum of Rs 56,900. If Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) increases by 3 percent in June, then the total DA will be 31 percent.

Calculation on 31% DA

1. Basic salary of the employee Rs 18,000

2. New dearness allowance (31%) Rs 5580/month

3. Dearness allowance so far (28%) Rs 5040/month

4. How much dearness allowance increased by 5580-5040 = Rs 540/month

5. Increase in annual salary 540X12 = Rs 6480

Meaning the employees will get Rs 540 added in the next salary as compared to the previous month. On an annual basis, this difference will be Rs 6480.

Salary will increase more in high salary bracket

Let us calculate the maximum basic salary of Level-1 at Rs 56900.

1. Basic salary of the employee Rs 56900

2. New dearness allowance (31%) Rs 17639 / month

4. How much dearness allowance increased 17639-15932 = Rs 1707 / month

5. Increase in annual salary 1707X12 = Rs 20484

This means that Rs 1707 more will come in the salary of the employees this month. On an annual basis, this difference will be Rs 20,484.

Calculation only includes dearness allowance, HRA

According to the 31 percent dearness allowance (DA 31% Salary Calculation), the total annual dearness allowance on the basic salary of Rs 56,900 will be Rs 211,668. This difference will be Rs 20,484 per annum as against the current rate of 28 per cent.
