New Delhi: 7th Pay Commission: Central employees have got a big blow before the new year. The picture has been cleared by the central government regarding the outstanding dearness allowance of the employees for 18 months. After the statement given by the Ministry of Finance, the true expectation of the central employees regarding the DA arrears has also ended.

DA arrears will not be paid
Right now the winter session of the Parliament is going on. During this, the Central Government informed in the Rajya Sabha that the dearness allowance of central employees, which was stopped for 18 months at the time of Corona epidemic, will not be given. No such provision has been made by the government yet.

There is no plan regarding the demands of the employees.
Rajya Sabha member Naran Bhai J Rathwa had asked a question in Parliament whether the government will pay the employees their DA arrears? In response to his question, Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chowdhary said that there are many demands regarding DA arrears of 18 months from central employees and pensioners, but due to adverse financial effects in the Corona period, it is yet to be released. There is no plan regarding.

Employees union angry on this decision
At the same time, there is resentment in the employees’ union after this update brought by the central government regarding the outstanding DA of 18 months. They say that this amount cannot be stopped. The employees worked despite not increasing the dearness allowance during the Corona period.

According to media reports, due to non-release of dearness allowance during 18 months, the government saved about 34 thousand crore rupees.

Dearness allowance is going to increase
Meanwhile, a good news is that the dearness allowance of central employees is going to increase in the new year. At present, dearness allowance is being paid at the rate of 38 per cent to the employees, but the increase in DA in January is believed to be fixed.
