It is being told that the Dearness Allowance of the employees may increase soon. At present, the employees are getting 31 percent DA, but it may increase to 34 percent.

Government can issue arrears

According to media reports, with the increase in DA, its one-time arrears can also be available to the employees. The central government has not given arrears to the employees on the arrears of DA for 18 months.

Employees have been demanding for a long time to release it. There are reports that the government can take a decision on this issue around January 26. If the government releases arrears, the employees will get a hefty amount.

Know when the house rent allowance will increase

Central employees are expecting a quick increase in the House Rent Allowance (HRA). In July 2021, the government increased the Dearness Allowance (DA Hike). Then DA was increased to 28 percent.

During that time HRA was also revised. At present, HRA rates are 27 percent, 18 percent and 9 percent according to the urban category.

In October last, the government had increased the dearness allowance. Then the DA was increased from 28 per cent to 31 per cent. Since then, there is an expectation of revision in the HRA of the employees.

Let us tell you that the government had issued a memorandum in 2015 saying that HRA will be revised from time to time with increasing DA. In such a situation, employees expect revision in HRA.

…then 30 percent will be HRA

According to media reports, the next revision in HRA will be of 3 percent. That is, the maximum current rate will be from 27 percent to 30 percent.

But, this will happen when dearness allowance crosses 50 percent. Because it is also in the memorandum that if the DA crosses 50 percent, the house rent allowance will be beyond 30 percent.
