New Delhi: 7th Pay Commission: The wait of central employees is about to end. The central government is going to give them very good news. There is going to be a huge increase in their dearness allowance.



That is, we can say that this month of September is a month of good news for the central employees. It has been claimed in media reports quoting sources that the Central Government can approve the DA increase of central employees this month. It is being said that the increase in dearness allowance can be approved in the cabinet meeting to be held on September 27.

4% increase in DA fixed

In fact, there is going to be a four per cent increase in dearness allowance for central employees and dearness relief for pensioners. This increase has been determined according to the inflation data from January to June. Although the approval of the Union Cabinet is yet to be received on this, only then it will be officially announced.

Increased DA will be implemented from July.

Central employees are currently getting dearness allowance at the rate of 42 percent. After the announcement of four percent increase in DA, it will increase to 46 percent. According to AICPI index, DA of employees has reached 46 percent by June 2023. The increased DA will be applicable from July.

By how much will the salary of the employees increase?

Employees whose minimum basic salary is Rs 18 thousand, currently get DA of Rs 7560 per month at the rate of 42 percent. After reaching 46 percent, they will get DA of Rs 8280 per month. That means there will be an increase of Rs 720 per month. If seen on annual basis, there will be an increase of Rs 8640 in DA of the employees.

Similarly, employees with maximum basic salary of Rs 56,900 are currently getting dearness allowance of Rs 23,898 per month. After 46 percent, it will be Rs 26,174 per month, which means there will be an increase in DA by Rs 2276 per month. On an annual basis, there will be an increase of Rs 27,312 in DA.
