Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chowdhary has given a statement in the Rajya Sabha on the arrears of 18 months. Employees organizations demand to meet the Finance Minister

Government facing financial crisis
Pankaj Chaudhary told in the Rajya Sabha that the Central Government has decided not to release the three installments of Dearness Allowance due to the Corona epidemic. He also informed in the House that the government is facing a financial crisis due to the lockdown imposed to prevent the spread of coronavirus. DA increased to 38 percent in September
He told that for these reasons the money was not released by the government. He also told that even after the effect of coronovirus epidemic subsided, the financial crisis was seen, that is why the outstanding DA of central employees was not released. DA has been increased to 38 percent in September 2022 by the government.

The demand for DA from January 2020 to June 2021 is being made by the government employees for a long time. However, earlier also the government had not made any kind of promise to the employees regarding this.
