7th pay commission: Big news for government employees! This week will get double bonus, salary will increase

The Central Government has not given the temporarily withheld Dearness Allowance (DA) arrears to the employees amid the Corona crisis. However, the DA has been increased from July 2021 (Dearness Allowance Hike).



New Delhi. After increasing dearness allowance, dearness relief, house rent allowance, the central government is going to give another gift to the central employees this week. In fact, the government has not given the arrears of dearness allowance for one and a half year temporarily stopped to the employees amid the Corona crisis. In such a situation, during September 2021, there is hope of getting some relief for the central employees. Government employees can get double bonus in the month of September. Explain that the government has increased the DA of lakhs of employees to 28 percent. Along with this, the House Rent Allowance (HRA) has also been increased.

While issuing the order, the central government said that the house rent allowance and DA should be increased on the basis of the basic salary of government employees. According to the rules, HRA has to be increased if DA is more than 25 percent. Therefore, the central government has decided to increase the HRA to 27 percent. In the order issued by the Department of Expenditure on July 7, 2017, it was said that when the DA exceeds 25 percent, then the HRA will also be revised. In such a situation, since July 1, 2021, dearness allowance has increased to 28 percent, then it is necessary to increase HRA also.

Who will get how much HRA





Central employees are being given 27 percent, 18 percent and 9 percent HRA according to the category of the city. This hike has also been implemented with DA from 1st July 2021. The category of house rent allowance is according to the X, Y and Z class cities. If you understand in simple words, then X category central employees will now get more than Rs 5400 per month HRA. After this, Y class employees will get Rs 3600 per month and Z class employees will get Rs 1800 more house rent allowance per month.

Understand the math of increased salary


According to the Seventh Pay Commission, the minimum basic pay of central government employees is Rs 18,000. At present, the basic salary of private sector employees starts from Rs 15000. Central government employees were getting dearness allowance of Rs 3060 on the basic salary of Rs 18,000 at the rate of 17 per cent till June 2021. From July 2021, central government employees will get Rs 5040 per month at the rate of 28 per cent DA. On this basis, the monthly salary of central employees increased by Rs 1980.
