7th pay commission: Big news! Employees will get increased arrears with the salary of April, know new update from center

7th pay commission news: The Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance has issued a notification regarding the increase in dearness allowance of central employees.

DA Hike: On Wednesday, the Modi government had given a big relief to the central employees troubled by inflation by increasing the dearness allowance. On Thursday, the Department of Expenditure of the Ministry of Finance has issued a notification regarding the increase in dearness allowance of central employees. In this notification, it has been said that on January 1, 2022, the dearness allowance of central employees is increased from 31 percent to 34 percent.

Arrears will be available after paying the salary of March

In the notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, it has been said that the arrears of dearness allowance will not be paid before the payment of salary for the month of March 2022. That is, after the salary of March is given, the arrears between January and March will be paid to the central employees.

Let’s know how much profit will be received

1. Suppose those earning a basic salary of Rs 56,000 would get dearness allowance of Rs 19,040 and computing 34 per cent DA would get Rs 19,040*12 = Rs 228,480 annually. This means that there will be a profit of Rs 20160 on an annual basis.

2. Suppose the basic salary of an employee is Rs 18,000, then Rs 6,120 will be available as dearness allowance. If you add it annually, then you will get Rs 6,120 * 12 = 73,440. This means that a profit of Rs 6490 will be available on an annual basis.

The central government increases the dearness allowance twice a year, so now the dearness allowance for July 2022 is yet to increase. 48 lakh central employees and about 69 lakh pensioners of the country will be benefited by the increase in DA.

Bat-bats of central employees

Central employees will be paid full payment of new dearness allowance along with the salary of April. In the month of April, all the arrears of the last 3 months will also be given to the employees. The increase in dearness allowance will put a burden of Rs 9544.50 crore on the central government exchequer per year.

Cabinet had taken the decision

The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved a 3% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) for Central Government employees and pensioners with effect from January 1, 2022. Earlier in October 2021, it was decided to increase the DA of central government employees from 28% to 31%. After this increase, the DA will increase to 31 percent.
