In fact, the Karnataka government has also announced to provide salary to priests and temple employees under the Sixth Pay Commission. This will give great benefit to the priests of the temples before the festival. Muzrai, Haj and Waqf Minister Shashikala Jole said that the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission will benefit the priests and other employees of the Muzrai Department.



Speaking to reporters here, Sasikala Jole said that Muzrai priests and employees will also be brought under a new health insurance cover. Which will benefit 37,000 employees. Given that there was a constant demand to implement the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission for Muzrai employees. He said the implementation would cost the government an additional Rs 20 crore. Which will be received from the revenue of the temples coming under the department.

The department plans to launch IDMS (Integrated Development Management System) which contains complete information about temple properties, route map, service services etc. Jole further said that a circular has been issued to all Muzrai temples to conduct special pujas on October 15 on the occasion of Vijayadashami, to pray for the health of the children and the well being of the people. Reports suggested a possible outbreak of the third wave of the deadly corona, on which the decision has been taken.
