Violating vehicles will be challaned. Now the speed of vehicles will be reduced to go from Agra to Greater Noida. However, this speed limit will be applicable only for two months on the expressway.

In view of road accidents, brakes will be imposed on the speed of vehicles on Yamuna Expressway from December 15. If the car is found moving above 80 km per hour, an invoice of Rs 2000 will be issued. Cameras have been installed at various places to monitor the speed of the cars. Apart from this, 20 speed checks have been installed in 165 km. These rules will remain in force for two months. After the implementation of these rules on Yamuna Expressway, the speed of vehicles going from Agra to Greater Noida will be reduced.

On an average, 30 thousand vehicles leave the Yamuna Expressway daily. Visibility decreases during winters. This visibility reaches zero during fog. Its effect is most on the expressway. The maximum speed limit for light vehicles on the Yamuna Expressway is 100 km per hour, while heavy vehicles can run at a speed of 80 km per hour. In winter, the possibility of a vehicle accident on the expressway increases further. There is a possibility of collision of vehicles due to low visibility due to fog.

Giving information about this, CEO of Yamuna Authority, Arunveer Singh said that this system will remain in force from December 15 to February 15. Action will be taken against those driving more than the prescribed speed. Their challans will be deducted.
