TCS Work From Home: Big news for employees! TCS Chief Krithivasan gave an update on ending work from home culture, know details

TCS Job Hiring: TCS CEO said that the company has no plans to stop new hiring. However, he said that we have to end work from home culture.

TCS Work From Home: Veteran IT company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) refused to cut recruitment. TCS Chief Executive Officer Kritivasan said that the company has no plans to do so. He also pointed towards new jobs in the coming times. TCS CEO said that due to increase in demand in the coming times, recruitment may have to be accelerated. TCS is the largest Indian software company in terms of number of employees, revenue and profit. His statement came after the report which said that the software industry is slowing down on recruitments after the decline in demand. The report also said that companies are withdrawing from their campus offers.

Employees should work from office

Kritivasan said that company employees should come to the office and work. He said that work from home is not the right way to move forward for both the individual and the company. The National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) had said last week that the industry created only 60,000 jobs in the financial year 2023-24. With this the number of employees increased to 54.3 lakh.

No intention to reduce appointments

TCS CEO K Krittivasan said in the NASSCOM session here, ‘There are signs of growth in the economy, we need more people to do more work. There is no intention to reduce our recruitment plans. We will continue to hire employees the same way we have been doing so. Possibly we will have to change the recruitment phase, but there will definitely be no cuts in our recruitment plans.

Working from home is not good

More than six lakh people are working in TCS. Kritivasan also said that the company remains optimistic in the medium to long term. However, after the release of December quarter results last month, the company did not offer appointments. Regarding the company’s pressure on its employees to come to the office and work, the TCS Chief said that one learns by watching colleagues and seniors at work. Such lessons cannot be taught if people work from home.

He said, ‘I believe that working from home or hybrid model is not the right way to move forward for both personally and the company. It is important to help each other and co-operate as a company. But this cannot be done through zoom call or other online medium.
