IT service company HCL Technologies (HCLTech) has ordered that employees will have to come to work from office three days a week.

During the pandemic, many especially tech companies were forced to do ‘work from home’ or ‘remote work’. However, at present the situation has become normal. But despite this, many companies have continued this trend by not calling their employees to office. Meanwhile, IT service company HCL Technologies (HCLTech) has ordered that employees will have to come to work from office three days a week. The company’s CEO and Managing Director C Vijayakumar said on Friday that continuous remote work is not a good idea at all.

However, the company has given its employees the right to decide the three days on which they will come to office. HCLTech is not the first company which is asking its employees to work from office.

TCS had also given order

Earlier, TCS had ordered more than 6.14 lakh of its employees to work from office. On the other hand, many employees in Infosys are also returning to office. But no such decision has been announced yet by the company. C Vijayakumar said in an interview to PTI that this decision is right. Remote work is not beneficial for both the employee and the organization.

Net profit increased in the second quarter

According to HCLTech, there is no possibility of any significant increase in the overall IT budget in the financial year 2023-24 amid inflationary pressure and high interest rates. But he is confident that winning the big deal will give strong momentum to the company in the second half of the current financial year.

Recently the company has released the figures for the second quarter of the current financial year, in which it has registered a net profit of Rs 3,833 crore, which is 9.9 percent more than the previous quarter. According to the report, during the second quarter the company earned a revenue of Rs 24,686 crore, which is 8 percent more than the same period last year.
