Work From Home In view of the increasing corona infection, an order has been issued by the Central Government for its staff as a precautionary measure. In fact, cases of corona infection have started increasing rapidly in many states of the country including Maharashtra, Delhi and Bengal.

New Delhi: In view of the increasing cases of pandemic Kovid-19, the Central Government has allowed 50 percent of its employees below the level of Under Secretary to work from home. An order for this has been issued by the Ministry of Personnel on Monday, which will remain in force till January 31, 2022. According to this, Divyang and pregnant women staff have been exempted from coming to the office.

Know what are the orders-

Central government officers and all staff will have to come to the office according to different time tables. For this, the concerned department will have to prepare a roster so that a large number of people do not gather in the office and the work can also be done smoothly.

Under Secretary and above all officers will have to visit the office regularly.

Staff and officers working from home will have to be always available through telephone and other electronic means.

As far as possible for the meeting, it has been asked to be done through video conferencing.

On Monday, the system of recording biometric attendance by the center has been stopped till January 31.

Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh said that this decision has been taken keeping in view the safety and health of the government employees. In an order issued to all departments of the central government, the ministry said that all officers and personnel living in containment zones have also been exempted from coming to office as long as those areas remain prohibited.

All the employees have to record their attendance in the attendance register.

Heads of all departments will have to ensure that all employees wear masks at all times and strictly follow COVID compliant behaviour.

Studies so far have shown that Omicron is more contagious but not lethal than the other variants. Most of its patients are found asymptomatic or with mild symptoms, who are considering treatment better by staying at home instead of being admitted to the hospital. However, it is a matter of relief that if the third wave comes, it will reach its peak within a month. In such a situation, if people take precautions for a month and adopt measures to prevent infection, then the effect of the third wave can be reduced to a great extent.
