The Times of India report quoted Govil as saying that Wipro will not directly hire new people on 30 percent salary growth, which used to be in 2021. At that time there were many opportunities and the attrition rate was very high.

However, now things have changed and those with good skills including Generative AI and Cybersecurity will get premium pay.

Preparation for HR Professionals

According to Govil, Wipro aims to automate most of the things an HR has to deal with. The company wants 80 per cent queries to be resolved through bots, so that HR professionals can act as coaches and focus more on how to improve and manage the team .

According to Govil, Wipro expects employees to work from the office. He said that the existing employees working from home have been asked to come to office thrice a week. However, there are some people who have to work from office for five days a week.
The good news is that Wipro is yet to mandate remote working, as Apple, TCS and Amazon have done.
