This big IT company has given a big blow to the employees today. Today this big company has announced to give half the salary to the employees, due to which the employees will now have to work on half the salary.

The employees waiting for appointment in the country’s leading IT company Wipro (IT Company) have got a big shock. The company has decided to cut the salary of the employees by about 50 percent. IT employees’ union NITES has opposed this decision of the company and termed such decisions as unjust and unacceptable. The union has asked the company to reconsider its decision.

Salary package halved

Along with this, industry insiders say that Wipro’s decision reflects the macroeconomic uncertainties and challenges for technology companies globally. Bengaluru-based IT services company Wipro has asked candidates who were recently offered an annual salary of Rs 6.5 lakh if they would accept a package of Rs 3.5 lakh instead.

Company should reconsider the decision

Let us tell you that these employees were waiting for their appointment for a long time. IT sector employees’ body NITES has condemned the move saying the decision is ‘unjust’ and ‘against the principles of fairness and transparency.’ NITES has demanded that the management reconsider its decision. And have a meaningful conversation with the union to find a way of mutual benefit.

Company mailed

When contacted, Wipro said in an e-mail response, “We have had to adjust our hiring plans in line with our business needs in view of changes in the broader environment.”
