According to a media report, Wipro spokesperson said – We have fired 452 freshers. These employees were repeatedly performing poorly even after training. We take pride in holding ourselves to the highest standards. We also expect freshers to live up to the standards we set for ourselves.

Expenditure on training waived: In the media report, quoting the termination letter, it has been told that Wipro has waived the expenditure incurred on the training of the dismissed employees. This amount is around Rs 75000 per employee. The termination letter states that Rs 75,000 spent on training, which the employee was liable to pay, has been waived off by the company.
