7th Pay Commission Latest News: There is a state of confusion regarding the arrears of central employees. Nothing has been cleared on the arrears yet.

7th Pay Commission Latest News: Central employees are waiting for their dearness allowance money (DA Payment). However, it has been decided that they will now be paid at the rate of 28 per cent. But, a big question is whether they will get the DA Arrear for the last one and a half years (January 2020 to June 2021). On the website of Zee Business, some users have asked whether the central employees will get the arrears or not? Actually, the government did not say anything clearly about the arrears. But, the OM issued by the Ministry of Finance made it clear whether the arrears would be paid or not.

Approval to increase DA from President

The President of India’s seal has been given on the increase in Dearness Allowance (DA). The Finance Ministry has said that the President has approved 28 percent DA with effect from July 1, 2021. The government removed the ban on Dearness Allowance (Revised DA rate) from July 2021. Now they will be paid at the rate of 28 percent. This money will be available in the salary of August or September. But, whether the arrears will be available or not, it is not clear. Now let us tell what is in the letter of the Ministry of Finance?

What about the arrears in the letter of the Finance Ministry?

The Finance Ministry has announced to increase Dearness Allowance (DA Hike). But, it also made it clear that the dearness allowance from January 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021, will be kept frozen at 17 percent only. It is clear that the employees will not get the due amount of this interval. After June 30, from July till the salary does not come, only the arrear payment due will be done. If sources are to be believed, DA will be paid in the salary for the month of September. In such a situation, only the arrears of July-August will be available.

Will there be talk on arrears?

JCM Secretary (Staff Side) Shiv Gopal Mishra said that the DA hike has brought a big relief to the employees and pensioners. But, the government should also consider giving arrears. One and a half year’s amount is too much. Demand will be made from the government to pay the outstanding arrears. Let us tell you, due to this increase in DA, as an estimate, the salary of the employees will increase from Rs 1980 to Rs 27500 per month.

How much will the salary increase?

Level 1 Basic pay = 18000 rupees
11% DA Hike = 1980 per month
Yearly hike in DA = 23760 per annum
(Cabinet Secretary level officer of the salary will be increased by 27,500 per month. Basic salary at this level is the highest at Rs 2.5 lakh .)
