Facebook-owned WhatsApp has recently introduced a new feature for the Archived chats folder. Using this new feature, users can hide unwanted chats. Usually, whenever a new message arrives on WhatsApp, the archived chat appears at the top. But after the introduction of this feature, the message will go to the archived chat folder instead of appearing on the top of your screen. This chat will appear at the top of your screen only if you unarchive the chat yourself.
According to WhatsApp, there are many users who want the archived messages to be hidden in the archived chats folder of WhatsApp instead of appearing on the top of their phone screen. The new archived chat settings mean that any archived message threads will now remain in the Archived Chats folder, even if a new message has been sent to that thread.
With this new feature, you can now get relief from unwanted and unnecessary messages, so if you also want to hide such messages, then follow the steps given below.
>>Open WhatsApp on your smartphone.
>> Now tap and hold on any chat you want to archive.
>>Now Archive button will appear on the top of your screen.
>>Tap on the Archive button to archive the chat.
>>You can also archive all the chats. To do this, tap on Chats and go to More options>Settings.
>>Now tap on Chats> Chat history> Archive all chats.
Important thing: – Archiving will not delete any chat, nor will it be backed up to your SD card. Also, until you reply to the archived chat, you will not see any notification of that chat on your phone.
