The railways have resumed partial operations of passenger trains from 1 June following the lockdown. Railways are presently running 200 special mail / express trains in addition to laborers special trains. IRCTC ticket cancellation fee

The railways charges 120 rupees per passenger on the sleeper class ticket for canceling the ticket 48 hours before the train starts. This charge is Rs 180 on AC third tier. At the same time, if you cancel the AC Second Tier ticket till this period, then there is a charge of Rs 200 per passenger. Cancellation of AC First Class ticket incurs cancellation charge of Rs 240.

f you are thinking about ticket cancellation by late, then it is important for you to know that the railway charges 25% of the fare up to 12 hours before the train starts. At the same time, if you cancel the ticket before the chart is made from 12 hours, then you may have to pay 50% of the fare as cancellation charge.

IRCTC Special Train Ticket Cancellation and Return Rules:

Screening of all passengers traveling in special trains will be mandatory and if the body temperature is high and there are signs of Kovid-19 etc., then they will not be allowed to travel despite having a confirmed ticket. In such a case, full refund will be made to the passenger as follows: –



On being a single passenger on PNR



If a passenger is found unfit to travel and all other passengers on the same PNR do not wish to travel in that situation then full refund will be allowed for all passengers.
If a passenger does not want to travel on PNR and another passenger wants to travel on the same PNR, he will be given a full refund of the ticket fare.
In all cases TTE certificates will be issued to the passenger at the entry / checking / screening point, stating that one or more passengers did not travel due to symptoms of Kovid-19.
Online TDR will be filed within 10 days from the date of journey for the return of passengers who did not travel after obtaining the TTE certificate
