Except the special train and the staff train, all the other trains are waiting for the time standing on their tracks. On the other hand, the railway is working on big projects in this lockdown. One such project is the beautification of Sealdah. On entering the station, only paan was picked, spit and dirt and the walls here were covered with banners and posters, but now various artwork will be seen on the walls. This is not a new station but your known Sealdah station, because now Sealdah will not look as dirty as before, but the color of modernism is increasing here.
Colorful figures on the walls
The wall at Sealdah station used to be red with spit and pan picks. On seeing this, you and our mind used to get spoiled. Now the walls and pillars are changing exactly there. The art and culture of Bengal will be seen on the same wall. Also colorful pillars will be seen. A two-floor family mall is being built on the side of A exit gate of Sealdah South by the railway, which is spread over an area of 1400 square meters. It will have 15 to 20 shops with big brands. With this, millions of passengers traveling in the train can shop in shopping malls before traveling in the train and even after getting off the train. Accelerators are being made in it. This will increase the income of the railways, which will bring passengers, it will increase the railway revenue.

Way Ting Lounge, Cafeteria & Restaurant Facilities
A two-floor building is being constructed near Platform 9D which is 6500 square meters, which will simultaneously have modern facilities including waiting lounge, cafeteria, restaurants. The station manager will also have an office here. A senior railway official said that this work is also being done by IRCT.
In this regard, the Chief Public Relations Officer of Eastern Railway Nikhil Chakraborty said that Eastern Railway always does something about the safety of the passenger. This time Sealdah station is now being taken care of with the safety of passengers as well as their comfort facility.
