Weather Alert for Gautam Buddha Nagar
The India Meteorological Department has predicted dense to very dense fog in many states of North India till January 2. Dense to very dense fog is likely to continue at many places with cold day conditions at some places in Gautam Buddha Nagar in the districts of Delhi-NCR for the next 24 hours. During the next 24 hours, there may be scattered light rain and snowfall in the Western Himalayas between December 31 and January 1. There is a possibility of sporadic light rain in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh between January 1 and 3.

According to the IMD, dense to very dense fog is likely to persist over many parts of northwest and adjoining plains of Central India and is likely to extend to East India till January 2 and gradually taper off thereafter. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has also predicted that cold day conditions will continue till January 2 in parts of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and North Rajasthan. IMD has predicted light to moderate rain at some places over South Tamil Nadu, South Kerala and Lakshadweep from December 31 to January 4.

Apart from this, dense to very dense fog conditions have also been predicted over Haryana, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh during December 31-January 2. The Meteorological Department has also predicted dense to very dense fog over isolated parts of Rajasthan and Uttarakhand and dense fog at isolated places during the morning hours of 31 December 2023 to 2 January 2024.
