Weather Update August: A warning of heavy rain has been issued in North India for the next five days. Jammu may receive very heavy rain on 30th and 31st August, Himachal Pradesh on 30th August and Uttarakhand on 1st September.

There is an alert of heavy rain in Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala, coastal Karnataka till 30th August.

Talking about Northwest India, for the next seven days, heavy rains are likely at isolated places over Uttarakhand, East Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana from August 30 to September 2, West Uttar Pradesh from August 31 to September 2, West Rajasthan from August 30 to September 1, East Uttar Pradesh on September 1 and 2. Very heavy rains are likely over Himachal Pradesh on August 30 and 31, Uttarakhand from August 30 to September 1, Jammu and Punjab on August 30, East Rajasthan on August 31 and Uttar Pradesh on September 1.

Talking about West India, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra are likely to receive heavy rains at isolated places for the next seven days, Saurashtra and Kutch on August 30, 4 and 5. Ghat areas of Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra will receive very heavy rains on August 30, Gujarat on August 30 and September 3 to 5.

Talking about East and Central India, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh are likely to receive heavy rains at isolated places for the next seven days, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Vidarbha on August 30 and 31, Jharkhand on September 2, Odisha from August 31 to September 3. Western Madhya Pradesh, Sub Himalayan West Bengal will receive very heavy rains on August 30.
