IMD Weather Alert- The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain and strong winds in different parts of the country in the next few days.

The weather in Punjab may change this evening. It may rain in many districts. According to the Meteorological Department, the sea level will drop sharply in the coming days.

Heavy rains are likely in West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and East Madhya Pradesh till September 30. According to the Meteorological Department, rains are likely in Mumbai and various parts of Maharashtra over the weekend. Rains are also expected in Goa and Konkan. The Meteorological Department said that for the first time since 2013, the monsoon departed from Delhi on September 24. In 2024, the monsoon departed from Delhi on October 2. The department has not issued any warning for Bihar and Uttar Pradesh in the next 24 hours.

Will it rain on the West Coast?

The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rainfall in the western coastal areas today. According to the forecast, light to moderate rainfall with heavy rainfall at many places is likely in Maharashtra, Konkan, Goa and Gujarat from September 26 to October 1. Very heavy rainfall is expected in Marathwada for the next two days, and very heavy rainfall is expected in Saurashtra and Kutch districts of Gujarat from September 28 to September 30. Very heavy rainfall is expected in Konkan, Goa and the Western Ghats from September 27 to 28. Heavy rainfall is also expected in Madhya Maharashtra during this period.

Heavy rains in Northeast India

The Meteorological Department has predicted continued light rains in Northeast India. Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura may receive light to moderate rains till September 29. In peninsular India, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Mahe, Andhra Pradesh and Yanam may receive light to moderate rains till September 27 along with heavy rains. A heavy rain warning has been issued for Telangana today. Similar weather is expected in Andhra Pradesh and Yanam on September 26. North Karnataka is expected to receive heavy rains from September 26 to 29 and South Karnataka on September 26.
