If you are also planning to visit Thailand then there is good news for you. Indians can now visit Thailand without any visa fees. That is, now you can travel to Thailand without paying any visa fee. The Thailand visa fee is around Rs 3,000, which now has to be paid at the airport. However, now you will not have to pay this fee. Thailand is making such offers to attract more and more tourists.

Thailand has temporarily waived visa requirements for Indians till May 2024. According to Reuters report, this decision has been taken after the visa requirements for Chinese tourists were abolished in September. Now people coming from India and Taiwan can stay in Thailand without a visa for 30 days. Thailand received 22 million visitors between January and October 29. This has generated revenue of 927.5 billion baht (equivalent to $25.67 billion) for Thailand.

According to media reports, Prime Minister Shretha Thavisin said that travelers from India and Taiwan will get the benefit of visa-free entry in Thailand from November 10 to May 10 this year. This decision was taken after the cabinet meeting with the aim of promoting tourism in the country. According to the Tourism Authority of Thailand, more than 3 million people have gone to Thailand from Malaysia this year. Earlier, Thailand said that before the pandemic, the largest group of tourists coming to Thailand were from China. Till October 15, 2.65 million Chinese have arrived.

Earlier on October 24, the Sri Lanka Cabinet had approved issuing free visas to India, China, Russia, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia and Thailand till March 31 as a pilot project. Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Ali had given this information by tweeting. This service will be available till 31 March 2024. Tourists from these countries can now get visa for Sri Lanka without any charge. This is a big change. India has historically been a major source of tourism in Sri Lanka.
