HSRP was made mandatory to improve the safety of vehicles, but till now many vehicles have not completed this work. The administration is now in action mode regarding this.

New Delhi: If you drive a vehicle or any vehicle, then this news is very important for you. Now it is mandatory for you to get High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) installed on your vehicles before 30th September. Vehicles which will not have HSRP, they can also be heavily challaned. However, for now this strictness will remain in Gautam Budh Nagar and Ghaziabad.

According to the information, the government had already given orders for the installation of HSRP, for this people were given sufficient time. But now the administration has come into action mode. People have been given strict instructions to get HSRP installed on vehicles or register for it before 30th September. Ghaziabad’s RTO administration Vishwajit Pratap Singh has said that the owners of vehicles whose HSRP has not yet been installed. They should make it mandatory by 30 September. If they do not do so, they may be fined.

What do the figures say

On the instructions of the government, all this exercise is being done to get HSRP installed on all the vehicles. According to the data, there are 62,605 vehicle registers in Ghaziabad till April 1, 2019, out of which HSRP has been installed in more than 19,000 vehicles so far. While there are 7,77,091 registers before April 2019, out of them 2,20,473 vehicles have HSRP installed.

What is HSRP

This is a number plate made of HSRP aluminum, which is fixed by two non-reusable locks. If these locks are broken, then it becomes clear that the number plate has been tampered with. Along with this, it has a blue colored Ashoka Chakra hologram in chromium metal which is 20×20 mm in size. The plate has a 10 digit pin on the lower left side which is laser-generated, which further strengthens the security of the vehicle. Apart from this, the number of the vehicle written on the number plate is also slightly embossed and India is written on it.

Let us tell you, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways in India had made HSRP mandatory on all vehicles purchased before April 2019. The ministry had started this scheme from March 31, 2005 and gave two years to the vehicles to get this plate, but even today vehicles are running indiscriminately on the roads without HSRP in the country.
