UP Teacher Recruitment: Online applications will be accepted from December 15th to 20th for selection to over 1700 vacant posts in the recruitment of 29334 assistant teachers of Science and Mathematics subjects in the council higher primary schools of UP. This decision has been taken in compliance with the order of the Supreme Court. Basic Education Council Secretary Surendra Kumar Tiwari has directed the 2593 candidates who had filed petitions in the High Court and Supreme Court before December 31st, 2019, to fill the required information on the prescribed format.
The Supreme Court ordered on January 29, 2025, that all candidates selected in this recruitment who had scored above the minimum cutoff and had filed petitions before December 31, 2019, should be appointed. In this regard, a list of 2,048 petitioners was released on October 30. Online representations with evidence were also sought from those candidates who had filed petitions but whose names were not included in the list.
Subsequently, 545 more names were added based on the candidates’ representations. After applications, state-level merit scores will be issued, and candidates will be allocated districts based on available vacancies in the districts. Appointment letters will be issued, and they will be assigned to schools by December 30. Verification of records will be completed by January 31, 2026.
