Suppose a total of 500 candidates appeared in an examination, 250 candidates appeared in each shift. The average marks of the total marks of the candidates of both the shifts are worked out. The difference is seen between the average numbers of both the shifts. As the average marks of the first shift is 95 and the average marks of the second shift is 93, two marks are increased under normalization in the scorecard of all the candidates of the second shift.
