UIDAI told in its official tweet that after updating the biometric, there will be no change in the Aadhaar number of your child. So you should get any kind of change done before getting the biometric updated.

Blue Aadhaar Card is issued for children

Please inform that blue Aadhaar card is issued for children by UIDAI. Blue Aadhaar card is made for children of 5 years. According to the rules of UIDAI, to get the Aadhaar card of children below 5 years of age, the Aadhaar card of the child’s guardian i.e. one of the parents must be made. To get a blue Aadhaar card, the Aadhaar card of one of the parents has to be linked with the Aadhaar of the child.

This is how blue Aadhaar card will be made

For this, first of all you have to go to your nearest Aadhaar card center. By going there, the guardian of the child will have to fill the registration form of ‘Child Aadhaar Card’. After this you will also have to submit a copy of the birth certificate of the child along with the registration form. Along with this, the guardian will have to submit a copy of any one of his driving license, PAN card or passport for proof of his address along with the form. As soon as this process is completed, your child’s Aadhaar card will be sent to your registered address.
