Trump Repeats: ‘I Ended India-Pakistan War’; Announces Migration Pause.

0

U.S. President Donald Trump is out here on the campaign trail, repeating the same line: “Pakistan and India, they were going at it, I ended the war.”

Let’s be real, he’s said this nearly 70 times since the brief conflict back in May. The official word from India, however, has been consistent, loud, and clear: No third-party intervention.

The India-Pakistan Claim

Trump spoke at a rally in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, listing several international disputes he claims to have settled in 10 months. He threw India and Pakistan in there, right alongside Kosovo/Serbia, Israel/Iran, and Armenia/Azerbaijan.

  • The Conflict: The brief, intense escalation happened in May. India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7th, specifically targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians.

  • The De-escalation: The two nuclear-armed nations reached an understanding to end the cross-border drone and missile strikes just four days later, on May 10th. India has always maintained that the ceasefire was achieved through direct military-to-military communication, specifically between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs).

The President even claimed, “Who else could say I’m going to make a phone call and stop a war…” He even suggested he’d call Thailand and Cambodia next, claiming they’ve “started fighting again.”

Immigration and the ‘Third World’ Pause

The focus immediately shifted to immigration, which is a key part of his agenda.

Trump claimed that the U.S. now has “reverse migration” for the first time in 50 years. He said this means more jobs and better wages for American citizens.

  • The “Permanent Pause”: He announced a “permanent pause” on migration from “all Third World Countries.” He specifically named “hellholes” like Afghanistan, Haiti, and Somalia, among others, claiming they are “ridden with crime” and “filthy.”

  • The Vetting: The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services actually issued new guidance allowing for “negative, country-specific factors” to be considered when vetting people from 19 high-risk countries.

The 19-Country Vetting List

This list is pulled straight from a June travel ban proclamation and applies to both immigrants and nonimmigrants, restricting or limiting entry into the U.S. These are:

Afghanistan, Burma (Myanmar), Burundi, Chad, the Republic of the Congo, Cuba, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Laos, Libya, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Togo, Turkmenistan, Venezuela, and Yemen.
