Speaking to CNBC-TV18, Bajaj was adamant that his company would not be associated with anything that was considered hateful in the brand community. He said the foundation for building a strong business is a strong brand. He said they were clear on who their brand should be paired with. He also did not disclose the names of the three channels.
Describing blacklist channels as harmful to society, Rajiv Bajaj said, “We are very clear that our brand will never be associated with anything that can be used to spread poison in our society.” Mumbai police have registered an FIR against Arnab Goswami channel Republic TV, Fakt Marathi and Box Cinema in connection with a fake TRP. Several people were arrested in the case. It was after this that Bajaj Auto took this decision.
