Earlier also, India has issued a travel warning for its citizens in relation to these 7 countries.
In fact, the government has issued this advisory in view of the incidents of Indian citizens being affected in war, human trafficking, fake employment, internal conflict or violence targeting foreigners. Let’s take a look at the seven countries where Indians have been asked to avoid traveling.
After the tension on the Thailand-Cambodia border, many countries of the world have advised their citizens to avoid going there. In this connection, the Indian Embassy has also requested its citizens to avoid traveling to the areas bordering these two countries. Although this is not the first travel advisory issued by the Indian authorities, the Ministry of External Affairs has earlier also requested Indians to avoid traveling to Iran, Israel and 7 other countries embroiled in war or internal conflict.
- Cambodia: In the recent past, many Indian citizens have been victims of abuse and exploitation after being lured by fake employment opportunities. In view of these incidents, Indian citizens have been advised to avoid traveling to Cambodia. In the advisory, travelers have been advised to thoroughly investigate the job offers and stay in touch with the Indian Embassy.
- Myanmar: Myanmar is next. The Ministry of External Affairs has appealed to Indian citizens to travel to Myanmar only when necessary. The situation here is not favorable due to frequent blockades and disruption of communication due to internal conflict. Citizens already present in the country have also been appealed to stay away from violence-affected areas.
