Train Cancelled News: Railways has cancelled several trains on the Gorakhpur route due to maintenance work. Please check train status before traveling in the next few days.
Millions of people travel by train every day. Railways are called the lifeline of the country, but sometimes, due to track maintenance or infrastructure work, some trains have to be stopped. This is the case this time too. Due to the reconstruction of the old washing pit at Gorakhpur Junction, the Railways has extended the block period. As a result, many trains have been cancelled, short terminated, or short originated. The Railways says these changes are necessary for passenger safety and operational improvement.
These trains were cancelled
According to Pankaj Kumar Singh, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Eastern Railway, several trains, including the Gorakhpur-Delhi route, will be affected. Engineering work is underway at Old Washing Pit Nos. 1 and 2. Due to this, some trains will not run from February 26th to 28th.
- Train No. 05057 Gorakhpur-Delhi Special cancelled till February 26
- Train No. 05058 Delhi-Gorakhpur Special cancelled till February 27
- Train No. 05053 Gorakhpur-Bandra Terminus Special cancelled till February 27
- Train No. 05054 Bandra Terminus – Gorakhpur Special cancelled till February 28
Short terminated and short originated trains
- Railways has shortened the routes of some trains or changed the starting/ending stations.
- Train No. 01027 Dadar-Gorakhpur Special: Short terminated at Mau Junction, till February 26
- Train No. 01028 Gorakhpur-Dadar Special: Will run from Mau till February 28
- Train No. 22921 Bandra Terminus – Gorakhpur Express upto Balrampur, till February 22
- Train No. 22922 Gorakhpur-Bandra Terminus Express: Starting from Balrampur, till February 24
- Train No. 15031 Gorakhpur-Lucknow Junction Express upto Gomtinagar, till February 24
- Train No. 15032 Lucknow Jn. – Gorakhpur Express: Starting from Gomti Nagar, till February 24
Extended route trains
- It has been decided to run some trains via alternative routes or extend them:
- Train No. 11055 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Gorakhpur: Extended upto Gonda, till 27th February
- Train No. 11056 Gorakhpur-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus: Will run from Gonda till March 1
- Train No. 20103 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Gorakhpur: Extended upto Azamgarh till 27th February
- Train No. 20104 Gorakhpur – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus: Will run from Azamgarh till February 28
- Train No. 19409 Sabarmati-Gorakhpur: Extended upto Thawe, till 26th February
- Train No. 19410 Gorakhpur-Sabarmati: Will run from Thawe till February 28
- Train No. 11037 Pune-Gorakhpur Express: Extended up to Barhni, till February 26
- Train No. 11038 Gorakhpur-Pune Express: Will run from Bardhni till February 28
