During the action of the traffic police, many times misbehavior of some policemen is also seen. Sometimes they take out the key from the bike without permission and sometimes they remove the tire air without any reason. Have you also thought that it is right to behave like this? Does the law allow the police to behave like this?

Know what the rule says?

During checking, the police do not have the right to remove the key from your car and remove the air. If a constable is taking out the key from your car, then it is against the rules. According to the rules, the constable does not have the right to arrest or seize any vehicle. Under the Indian Motor Vehicle Act 1932, only an officer of the rank of Assistant Sub Inspector or above can deduct the challan. Soldiers are only there to help them.

Soldiers can’t remove the key

Apart from this, the traffic constables cannot even remove the keys of your vehicle, nor can they remove the air of anyone’s vehicle. They have no right to do so. Apart from this, the police cannot even misbehave with you during checking. If any policeman is harassing you unnecessarily or misbehaving with you, then you can complain to a senior officer.

Keep these things in mind

It is necessary for the police to always be in uniform during checking. If this is not the case then you can ask them to show the identity card. If they refuse to show the ID, you can also refuse to show them your documents. At the time of deducting the challan, it is necessary to always have a challan book or e-challan machine with the police. If it is not both, then your challan cannot be deducted. If the traffic police confiscate your documents, then the receipt should also be taken.
