Traffic Rule Changed : Big news! Now you can talk on the phone while driving the car, the challan will not be deducted, know new rules quickly

Motor Vehicle Act: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that according to the traffic rules, talking on the phone using handsfree communication feature while driving is not a punishable offense.


New Delhi. Even if you are talking on a mobile phone while driving a car, the traffic police cannot deduct your challan. The central government told that if a traffic policeman cuts your challan, then you can challenge him in the court.

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari said that according to the existing traffic rules, if a driver talks on his mobile phone using the hands-free communication feature while driving a car. If so, it is not a punishable offence. For this the driver will not have to pay any kind of penalty.

Gadkari said… there is no provision for punishment
In the Lok Sabha, Congress MP from Ernakulam, Kerala Hibi Eden asked whether there is any penalty for use of handsfree communication feature in motor vehicles under section-84(c) of Motor Vehicles Act 2019 is there a provision? In response, Union Minister Gadkari said that in this Act, there is a provision of punishment for the use of hand-held communication devices while driving. There is no provision for any kind of penalty for the use of handsfree communication devices.


Driving license suspended if helmet is not worn
Under the Motor Vehicle Act 2019, two-wheeler drivers who do not wear a helmet can be fined Rs 1,000. Apart from this, his driving license can also be suspended for three months under Section-194C of the Motor Vehicle Act.
