Toyota Fortuner BS6 price hikes, know new prices

New Delhi, Auto Desk. Toyota Kirloskar Motor launched the BS6 emission model of its Fortuner SUV in February this year and most importantly, the company did not raise its prices. The car manufacturer did not raise the price of the car at that time. However, Toyota has now increased the prices of all variants of its SUV.

Toyota Fortuner prices have been increased by Rs 48,000. It has an entry-level manual petrol trim model, which was earlier priced at Rs 28.18 lakh, which has become Rs 28.66 lakh. Talking about the top end 4×4 automatic diesel variants of Toyota Fortuner, its price is Rs 33.95 lakhs, which has now increased to Rs 34.43 lakhs. All these prices are ex-showroom.

Talking about power specifications, it has the same BS6 2.7 liter four-cylinder petrol and 2.8 liter four-pot diesel engine. The petrol engine generates power of 163.7 bhp at 5,200 rpm and torque of 245 Nm at 4,000 rpm. At the same time, the 2.8 liter oil burner engine generates 174.5 bhp power at 3,400 rpm and 420 Nm (MT) – 450 Nm (AT) torque at 2600 rpm.

In the petrol version, the Fortuner only comes with 2 wheel drive technology. At the same time, 4×4 technology is optional in high-end diesel models. Talking about transmission options, the company has given a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed automatic in petrol and diesel variants. Toyota is currently about to bring a mid-life facelift version of its Fortuner that will compete with the Ford Endeavor, Mahindra Alturas G4 and other full-size SUVs.
