26 green expressways to be built before 2024

Many times it happens that people miss to pay toll tax. However, at present, there was no provision for any kind of punishment on this. But in this regard, Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has made a big announcement. According to the news going on in the media, Nitin Gadkari said that before the year 2024, 26 green expressways will be ready in the country and India will be at par with America in terms of roads. Along with this, the Union Minister said that in the coming days, emphasis will also be laid on the use of technology for collecting toll tax.

Punishment for not paying toll

At present, there is no provision for any kind of punishment for not paying toll. But preparations are on to bring a bill regarding toll. “Two options are being considered for collecting toll. The first option is related to the installation of GPS in the cars, while the second option is related to the modern number plates.

Tax will be levied only on such a distance

According to media reports, Nitin Gadkari said that even if a person covers a distance of 10 km on the toll road, then he has to pay a fee of 75 km, but in the new system, only the distance covered will be charged. . He denied that the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) was going through a financial crisis.
