Now you don’t have to stand in long queues to pay toll tax. The government has changed the rules for collecting toll. Now toll will be collected in this way on the state highway.

People traveling from Jaipur to Bhilwara (via Fagi) and from Sikar to Luharu via Jhunjhunu no longer had to pay cash toll tax. On the lines of National Highway (NH) in Rajasthan, now online toll tax will be collected from the people on the state highway as well. This toll tax will be collected through FASTag only.

Public Works Department Minister Bhajan Lal Jatav gave instructions to start this process today. At the inauguration ceremony of 100 KW rooftop solar panel at the Rajasthan State Road Development and Construction Corporation (RSRDC) office today, Minister Jatav said that the government is trying to provide better facilities to the people. He said that tax is necessary for better roads in the state. That’s why it is necessary to pay toll tax for the public. He said that today Gujarat and MP have more tolls than Rajasthan, but still Rajasthan’s road network is much better than them. He said that for the convenience of people and to save their time, we are going to start fast tag system on state highways on the lines of national highways. It will start with the highway built in Jaipur and Sikar.

Planning to start next month

Electronic toll systems are being installed on the state highway from Jaipur to Bhilwara (via Fagi, Malpura) and on the Sikar to Luharu via Jhunjhunu highway, from where toll will be collected from people like a fast tag. There is a possibility that online toll collection will start by the end of February next month. After this, online toll will be collected on 8 other highways as well. Tenders have been floated to install the system on them. These include Jodhpur-Osia-Phalodi, Merta-Ras Road, Alwar-Bahrod-Narnaul, Jahazpur-Mandalgarh, Dabok-Mavli-Kapasan, Nasirabad-Kekdi-Deoli, Dungargarh-Sardarshahar-Rajgarh and Hanumangarh-Suratgarh road.

Will not have to make another card

RSRDC Chief Engineer Sandeep Mathur said that with the introduction of this system, people do not need to get another fast tag card made separately. The money will be deducted from the card which is currently installed on the vehicles.

Electricity worth Rs 12 lakh will be saved every year

Solar plant installed at RSRDC head quarter will save electricity worth Rs 12 lakh every year. This 100 kW solar system has 184 solar panels. Rs 50 lakh has been spent on its installation. Rs 20.59 lakh electricity is consumed every year at RSRDC head quarter. At the same time, electricity worth Rs 12 lakh will be generated from this panel every year.
