The Army Public Schools are run by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES).

An announcement has been made to replace about 8000 teacher posts in 137 Army public schools across the country. The Army Public Schools are run by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES). Here is the CBSE instruction. The score obtained in the screening‌ test is valid for three years. You can apply with that score when the relevant Army Schools release the ads.

Important Information:
Through this notification, almost 8000 vacant posts in Army Schools across the country will be filled. These include Post Graduate Teacher (PGT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), Primary Teacher (PRT) posts.




Qualifications:
1. Post Graduate Teacher (PGT): English, Hindi, Geography, Economics, Political Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Psychology, Commerce, Computer Science / Informatics, Home Science, Physical Education etc.

Eligibility : Candidates who want to apply for these posts should have PG, B.Ed with at least 50% marks in the relevant section.

2. Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT): English, Hindi, Sanskrit, History, Geography, Political Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer, Physical Education etc.

Qualifications : Candidates who want to apply for these posts should have completed Degree and B.Ed with 50% marks in the relevant subject.

3. Primary Teacher (PRT): Applicants for this post should have completed a two-year diploma / four-year integrated course in B.Ed / Elementary Education along with a degree.

Age: Not to exceed 40 years as on 01.04.2021. Applicants under the age of 57 can apply if they have five years of experience in teaching.

Screening‌ Exam Dates: The exams will be held on November 21, 22, 2020.

Test centers in Telugu states: Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Vijayawada.

Selection Procedure:
Those who have applied for the Army School Teacher posts and qualified in the screening examination will have to apply separately when the respective Army Schools release the notification and attend the next selection process.

Candidates are selected through online screening test, interview, teaching skills, computer proficiency test.

The Central Eligibility Test (CTET-CETET) / State Teacher Eligibility Test (TET-TET) administered by the Central and State Governments is not mandatory for the online screening test. But for the appointment of TGT / PRT posts, a seat / TET is mandatory.

The final selection of candidates will be done on the basis of marks obtained in the screening test and interview.

Note: The
Mac‌ test is administered for awareness on the test. Those interested can write from November 4th. Available until November 13th. Sample questionnaires are also available online. However, those who want these can download them by paying Rs. 50 per part and Rs. 50 per part.

PGT-TGT Screening Test: The
online screening test is conducted in two sections (Part-A, B) for 180 marks. Part-A-90 marks, Part-B-90 marks. Part-A includes questions on General Awareness, Mental Ability, English, Comprehension, Education Concepts, and Methodology. Also in Part-B questions are asked from the relevant subject. The test duration is three hours (180 minutes).

PRT Screening Test:
This test is administered as part-ega for a total of 90 marks. Part-A includes questions on General Awareness, Mental Ability, English, Comprehension, Education Concepts, and Methodology. The test duration is one and a half hours (90 minutes). There is a policy of negative marks in these exams. A quarter (1/4) deduction is imposed for each wrong answer.

Interview:
Candidates who have shown talent in the screening test will be called for interviews on merit basis from the school from which they have applied. Those who show talent in the interview will be assigned posts based on their teaching skills and computer knowledge.
