UK second quarter results

Britannia Industries announced its results after the stock market closed on Monday. Company consolidated profit grew 23 per cent to Rs 495.20 crore in the September quarter. The company made a profit of Rs 405.37 crore in the second quarter of the last financial year. In the second quarter, the company’s margins also showed a growth of 3.5 percent.




HDFC Life second quarter results

HDFC Life Insurance (HDFC Life) on Monday said that its consolidated profit in the second quarter (Q2) of FY 2020-21 increased by 6.1 percent to Rs 327.83 crore. This life insurance company achieved a profit of Rs 308.98 crore in the same period of 1 year ago. HDFC Life told the stock market that its total income grew by almost 90 per cent to Rs 16,426.03 crore during the September quarter of the current fiscal, from Rs 8,661.33 crore in the same period last fiscal. Net premium income of the company grew by 35 percent to Rs 10,056.71 crore during the second quarter, while income from investment increased to Rs 1,135.12 crore from Rs 6,318.81 crore.

ACC’s good results, profits up 20%, margins improved

The ACC results have been better than anticipated. The company’s profit has increased by 20 to about Rs 365 crore. The margin has seen an increase of over 3 per cent.

In Focus L&T

L&T has bid lowest in Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project. There is a 237.1 km line project between Mumbai-Ahmedabad. L&T has bid for 24,985 crores. L&T’s bid is lower than Tata Projects and Afcons.

HUL profits may rise by 8.5%, Hind Zinc, LTI results also under watch

Today HUL’s second quarter results will come. The company’s profit is expected to grow 8 to more than 13 percent. Although margins may remain flat, the results of L&T Infotech and Hindustan Zinc will also be watched by the market today.

EQUITAS SFB’s IPO will open today

IPO price band is 32-33 / share. The company has raised Rs 140 crore from anchor investors. The issue will close on October 22.

MRPL / ONGC

MRPL will buy 49% stake in ONGC Mangalore Petrochemicals for Rs 1220 crore.
