SSC CGL Recruitment 2025: In SSC CGL recruitment, maximum 6753 posts of CBDT Officer Superintendent will be recruited. Total posts are 14582. There are 1306 posts of Inspector Central Excise, 771 posts of Tax Assistant.

SSC CGL Recruitment 2025: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the list of potential vacancies for recruitment to a total of 14,582 posts in various central ministries, departments and organizations under the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL)-2025. These appointments will be made on Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ category posts. There are 6183 posts in the unreserved category in the recruitment, while 2167 posts are reserved for SC, 1088 for ST, 3721 for OBC and 1423 posts are reserved for EWS.

Online applications were taken for CGL-2025 on July 4. Through this examination, recruitment is done for various posts in 48 departments and ministries of the Central Government. In this recruitment, there are 1306 posts of Inspector Central Excise, 771 posts of Tax Assistant, 353 posts of CBIC Inspector, 180 posts of CAG Accountant-Junior Accountant, 389 posts of CBDT Income Tax Inspector, 94 posts of Assistant-ASO of EPFO, 197 posts of Assistant-ASO in IB, 682 posts of Assistant Section Officer in DOPT CSS.

There will be recruitment for 1174 posts of Auditor in CGDA, 14 posts of Sub Inspector in NIA, 30 posts of Sub Inspector Narcotics in NCB, 93 posts of Sub Inspector CBI, a total of 6753 posts of CBDT Officer Superintendent.

CGL Tier 1 Pattern

The CBT type will be a 1 hour paper in which 100 questions of 200 marks will be asked. 25 questions of 50 marks each will be asked in all the four sections 1. General Intelligence and Reasoning, 2. General Awareness, 3. Quantitative Aptitude and 4. English Comprehension. Half marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Selection Process

Stage 1 Tier-I: Computer Based Examination (Qualifying in nature).

Stage 2 Tier-II: Paper I (Compulsory for all posts), Paper-II for candidates who are applying for the posts of JSO.

Paper-1 of Tier-2 will have four sections

Section-I:

A – Mathematical Abilities

B- Reasoning and General Abilities

Section-II:

English Language & Comprehension

B : General Awareness

Section-III: Computer Knowledge Test

Section-IV: Data Entry Speed Test

8. Exam Dates

Tier-1 – 13 August 2025 – 30 August 2025

Tier – 2 – December 2025

Stenographer exam admit card released

SSC released the admit card and exam city information for Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Examination-2025 on Thursday. Candidates can check their exam city information by logging on to the official website of the commission. Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ examination will be conducted on August 6, 7 and 8. Along with this, SSC has also announced the date of the Combined Hindi Translator Examination (Paper-One) examination. This examination will be held on August 12. Along with the admission certificate and exam city information, instructions related to the scribe have also been issued by SSC. Those candidates who have opted for ‘Own Scribe’ will have to compulsorily fill the registration and details of the scribe on the commission’s website by 11:59 pm on August 2.
