Spicejet Mumbai-durgapur Flight Incident: The reason for this serious incident that happened in SpiceJet’s Mumbai-Durgapur flight is being ascertained.


Spicejet Mumbai-durgapur Flight Incident: A SpiceJet plane got stuck in a storm between Mumbai and Durgapur. The accident happened when the plane was being lowered. The people traveling in it became victims of serious injuries due to the plane crash. At the time of landing, the SpiceJet plane got stuck in the storm. The SpiceJet plane was about to land at the airport when suddenly it got stuck in a storm. The reason for this serious incident that happened on SpiceJet’s Mumbai-Durgapur flight is being ascertained.

According to news agency PTI, India’s aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has ordered an inquiry into the incident. The entire fleet of the airline is being inspected after SpiceJet’s Mumbai-Durgapur flight took off on Sunday when 40 passengers were injured due to exposure to a severe atmospheric disturbance.

The accused staff has not got duty for any other flight.

The DGCA said that pending the investigation, the crew of the aircraft, Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) and the effective of SpiceJet Maintenance Control Center have been removed from the roster. The DGCA said that the aircraft with which the incident took place on Sunday has been grounded in Kolkata. Rest of the SpiceJet aircraft are in operation.


Jyotiraditya Scindia did this tweet

On this matter, Union Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia tweeted and wrote that the regulator of the aviation sector has formed a team to investigate the incident. The Durgapur-bound SpiceJet flight got stuck in a turbulence and the damage caused to the passengers is unfortunate. A team of DGCA has been constituted to investigate the incident, two will watch this whole matter closely.

Many people injured in the accident

According to SpiceJet’s website, it has 91 aircraft in its fleet. According to the DGCA, the aircraft which took off from Mumbai to Durgapur on Sunday came in contact with an atmospheric disturbance while landing and some passengers and three flight crew were injured. It said that two passengers are currently in the ICU, one of whom has suffered a head injury and the other has a spinal cord injury.

The DGCA said that the concerned crew, AME and in-charge of the maintenance control center of SpiceJet have been removed from the roster pending investigation. He said that the concerned aircraft is stationed in Kolkata. As a regulatory measure, DGCA is inspecting the entire fleet of SpiceJet.
