Pyongyang North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un is already notorious for his cruelty but his sister Kim Yo Jong is even more cruel. A living example of this is in front. Two days ago, the dictator’s sister Kim Yo Jong had threatened South Korea that they were not taking action against those dropping balloons at the border, they would have to suffer as a result.
According to the Reuters agency, the hotline between the two countries and the liaison office on the border were closed after saying this. Tensions between the two countries had increased. In fact, a large number of people from North Korea have escaped to South Korea, now these people reach the border of both countries and blow hydrogen-filled balloons there, these balloons are distributed by making leaflets of Kim’s excesses and cruelty. These leaflets are tied with blowing balloons. These balloons fly to the border of North Korea where people pick them up and read and have an attitude towards the dictator.
After these things were discovered, Kim’s sister Yo Jong threatened South Korea that if he could not ban these things then North Korea would end relations with them, a hotline created between the two countries two days ago. Was discontinued. After the closure of the hotline, steps were taken to improve relations with South Korea, but North Korea did not agree. Now today North Korea explodes this liaison office located in the border city of Kesong.
Tension increased in both countries
Tensions in the Korean peninsula have increased after the incident. South Korea’s Unification Ministry said the office was located in the North Korean border town of Kesong and was blown up at 2.49 am on Monday. Apart from this, the Ministry has not provided any further information. The smoke released from the building is seen in photographs released by Yonhap, the official news agency of South Korea.
Earlier, Kim Yo Jong, sister of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, also attacked South Korea for being unable to stop the deteriorating relations and anti-North Korean balloons along the border. He had said that South Korea would soon witness the closure of the useless liaison office on the border. The dictator’s extremely powerful sister said that she leaves it to North Korea’s military leaders to retaliate against South Korea.
Threatened to send army shortly before
Hours before the liaison office was to blow up, North Korea threatened to send troops to the demilitarized areas established under the agreement. After which the General Staff of the Korean People’s Army said that it was reviewing the recommendation of the ruling workers party. However, it is not yet clear what action the North Korean army can take against the South.
Meanwhile, South Korea’s Ministry of Defense spokesman Choi Hyun-soo said that South Korea and US forces are closely monitoring the activities of the North Korean military. He once again reiterated the need to implement the agreement between the two countries. On Monday, South Korea’s President Moon Jae In had urged North Korea to talk once again by ending tensions.
Liaison office was closed since January
The liaison office in North Korea and South Korea in Kseong was closed since January due to coronavirus. It was opened in 2018 after three summits between Kim Jong Un and South Korean President Moon Jae In. Earlier this building was used as the office of Kaesong Industrial Complex. The Kesong Industrial Complex was a joint venture between the two countries, which was suspended in 2016 due to disagreements over North Korea’s nuclear and missile programs.
South Korea spent more than Rs 65 crore in 2018 to renovate the four-story building. When this liaison office was run, dozens of officials from both countries used to sit here and work. Not only this, South Korean officials used to visit this liaison office of North Korea every week and stay in residential buildings located here.
