Shimala Toy Train: Famous Kalka-Shimla toy train started in Shimla, know the complete details

On the Kalka-Shimla railway track, the toy train has started to hear once again. After about seven months, the special train has started running from Kalka-Shimla Express (Kalka-Shimla Express) through Kalka on the Kalka-Shimla Heritage Track from Wednesday. It is being said that this train has been resumed keeping in mind the crowds caused by the festive season. The S train was also canceled due to the lockdown due to Corona virus.

Kalka-Shimla railway is included in UNESCO heritage

Kalka-Shimla Railway is a part of Mountain Railway of India. It was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2008. According to the railway, the 96-km railway line from Kalka to Shimla in Haryana passes through 102 tunnels, 988 bridges and 925 curves. Its longest tunnel near Barog is 1,143 meters long.

There will be seven coaches in total

The Kalka-Shimla Express special train will reach Shimla with a total of 7 coaches including two luxury coaches. The train will have 3 coaches of CZ category, 1 box of CZR category, 1 box of GS category, and 2 coaches of FCZ category.

This is the schedule of the train

According to media reports, the Kalka-Shimla Express Special will depart from Kalka at 12:10 and reach Shimla at 17:04. This down train from Shimla will leave at 10:40 am the next day and reach Kalka at 14:26. This train will run every day. Railways have decided to run this special train from October

20 to November 30 due to the festive season.
