Seven companies in race for new parliament house, pre-eligibility bids

Uttar Pradesh State Construction Corporation Ltd. to build a Parliament House. Seven companies including are in the race. Pre-eligibility bids for all these were opened on Tuesday afternoon. This information has been obtained from the records of the Central Public Works Department (CPWD).




According to the online tender portal of the Central Public Works Department, Tata Projects Limited, Larsen and Toubro Limited, ITD Cementation India Limited, NCC Limited, Shapoorji Pallonji and Company Private Limited, Uttar Pradesh State Construction Corporation Limited and PSP Projects Limited are currently in the race.




The notice inviting pre-eligibility bid of the agency stated that the new building would be built near the existing Parliament House under the Central Vista Redevelopment Project. It is estimated to be completed in 21 months and costs are estimated at Rs 889 crore.

The Central Government’s premier construction agency CPWD said that the construction of the new building will be on plot number 118 of ‘Parliament House Estate’.
