Senior Citizens FD Rates: This bank is giving interest up to 7.50% on FDs to senior citizens, check details

This special FD scheme can be started for at least 666 days. In this special fixed deposit scheme, the general public will get interest at an annual interest rate of 7 percent.


New Delhi. Canara Bank has recently launched a special Fixed Deposit (FD) plan for 666 days. Private sector loan providers offer returns of 7% to their general customers, while senior citizens will get 7.5% interest on their deposits under this scheme. This special fixed deposit scheme launched by a government bank is for the amount less than Rs 2 crore.

Giving information through Twitter, Canara Bank said that this special FD scheme can be started for at least 666 days. In this special fixed deposit scheme launched by Canara Bank, the general public will get 7 percent annual interest rate, while senior citizens will get 7.5 percent annual return on their money.

Bank increased lending rate
Public sector Canara Bank has increased Repo Linked Lending Rate (RLLR) and Marginal Cost of Funds Based Lending Rate (MCLR). The new rates have come into effect from today, October 7, 2022. The bank has increased the MCLR and RLLR for all the tenors. Canara Bank has increased rates by 15 bps to 7.05% on overnight to 1-month MCLR. The rate on three-month MCLR has been increased by 15 bps to 7.40% and on six-month MCLR by 15 bps to 7.80%. On one-year MCLR, the bank has increased its rate by 1 bps to 7.90%.

Unity Bank Launches Diwali Special Offer
Unity Small Finance Bank Limited (Unity Bank) has launched Shagun 501 Fixed Deposit Scheme on the occasion of Dussehra and Diwali. Under this scheme, customers will be given an attractive return of 7.90% p.a. for 501-day fixed deposit. Also, senior citizens will be given an interest of 8.40% per annum in this scheme. This festive offer is available only for deposits booked up to October 31, 2022.
