Unlock 4.0 starts from September’s first date but the government is still worried about opening schools and colleges. Both state governments have now declined to open schools after the Central Government Guidelines, and have prolonged the holidays further.

The West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said in this series that all educational institutions in the state will remain closed until September 20, 2020. Similarly, Naveen Patnaik, chief minister of Odisha, said schools will be kept closed until the Durga Puja holidays, which will be held at the end of October. Considering the state epidemic situation, it was decided that the educational institutions would be closed. CM Patnaik said this decision was taken with the student’s parents’ interests in mind. Durga Puja will be celebrated from 22 to 26 October across the world.

Let us know that institutes of education in the country have been closed since March 16. There has been lockdown in the country since March 25. It was said earlier that schools could be opened from September 1, but any such proposal has now been rejected by the authorities. Samir Ranjan Das, Minister of School Education in Odisha, said on Wednesday that the state would take a decision with the Center’s guidance in mind but it was later decided to keep the schools closed.

States have meanwhile begun online classes for students around the country. In this way, attempts are being made to maintain their exposure to growing numbers of students. But the real obstacle is the actual link between them all to the internet.
