Visibility is less than 20 meters in many cities of Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, small children are also troubled by cold and fog. Keeping these things and weather conditions in mind, the Uttar Pradesh government has announced a holiday of two days. Besides, school timings have also changed. However, various District Magistrates can also take their own decision in this regard.
Schools will remain closed tomorrow also
All schools in Uttar Pradesh will remain closed on 28 and 29 December 2023. This holiday of Thursday and Friday has been given keeping in mind the cold and fog. After this, most of the schools will remain closed on Saturday and Sunday also. The UP government had already announced winter vacation. According to that, all schools will remain closed from 31 December 2023 to 14 January 2024.
Note the new school timings
The District Education Officer of Ghaziabad, located in Uttar Pradesh, has changed the timings of schools from 10 am to 3 pm. Aligarh DM has also issued an order to keep all board schools closed on 28th and 29th. Schools in Mathura will also run according to the time system of 10 am to 3 pm. At the same time, schools from class 1 to 8 in Jalaun will remain closed till 31 December 2023.
15 days winter break in UP
Winter holidays have been declared in most of the states of North India (Winter Holidays 2023). Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has also announced winter vacation in the state (UP Winter Vacation 2023). All schools in Uttar Pradesh will remain closed from 31 December 2023 to 14 January 2024. Schools in UP will now open on 15 January 2024.
