Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council has issued a notification regarding the upcoming holidays. According to this, all council and recognized basic schools will remain closed on the occasion of Vishwakarma Puja on Wednesday, 17 September this year. This holiday will be valid for all students and teachers.
There will be no holiday on Jiutiya
Every year, female teachers are given special leave for Jiutiya Vrat. This year, this Vrat is falling on 14th September. However, since 14th September is Sunday, schools will remain closed on this day anyway and female teachers will not get a separate leave. This Vrat is observed by fasting without water for the long life and well-being of children.
Preparations for Vishwakarma Puja begin
On the occasion of Vishwakarma Puja, factories and establishments remain closed. On this day, Lord Vishwakarma is worshipped. Preparations for the puja have also begun at the Vishwakarma temple in Kabbakheda, located on the Unnao-Safipur road. Every year, cultural programmes are organised here on this occasion, in which school children also participate. Many public representatives are also expected to attend this programme to be held on September 17.
