SBI launches new facility, case related to Kisan Credit Card

State Bank of India has launched a new facility of Kisan Credit Card Review on the Yono Krishi platform. Under this, farmers do not have to go to any bank for modification.



Mumbai, the
country’s largest lender, State Bank of India (SBI) is empowering its farmer customers by providing them with technology-backed agricultural solutions along with Yono Agriculture. The recently launched platform that caters to all the needs of farmers, from sowing to harvesting and then selling, is attracting a lot of attention of farmers. In the current unprecedented time due to the Kovid-19 epidemic, SBI is poised to make life easier for its farmer customers by offering a KCC review option on Yono Agriculture. With this additional facility, farmers will not be required to visit the bank branch themselves to apply for amendments to their KCC limit. The KCC Review option on Yono Agriculture will help farmers to apply in just 4 clicks from the comfort of their homes without any paperwork.



Given the fact that not all farmers have access to smartphones, SBI has also streamlined the KCC review process at its branches. More than 75 lakh farmers having KCC account with SBI are expected to get the benefit of KCC Review on Yono Agriculture. The facility of paperless KCC review will not only help farmers save costs and efforts in applying for the revision of the KCC limit, but will also speed up the process for them, especially during the harvesting season.

SBI Chairman Rajnish Kumar said, ‘The KCC Review on Yono Agriculture is another initiative of SBI to prepare our customers for the future by offering continuous digital innovations related to their agricultural needs. This new feature has been added keeping in mind the convenience and safety of our millions of valued farmer customers. We are confident that they will now experience a hassle-free application process for their KCC boundary amendments. With a digital-first approach, it is SBI’s continuing effort to provide innovative digital banking solutions to all our diverse customers across the country. ‘

Apart from the amazing KCC review, the multilingual Yono Agri platform, which brings technology for farmers in more than 10 local languages, to its farmer customers Yono Khata is offering services like Yono Savings, Yono Mitra and Yono Mandi. These unique offers facilitate farmers to buy and rent agricultural loan products, agricultural inputs and equipment, customized agricultural advisory, investment, and crop insurance products, instant agricultural gold loans, advanced scientific farming methods . With YONO Agriculture, SBI has opened the doors of digital agriculture for farmers. In just one year of its launch, Yono Agri has disbursed over 14 lakh Agri Gold loans and received over 1.5 million clicks on Yono Mandi and Yono Mitra.
