The bank has told the customers that if you get any QR code from any other side, then you scan it by mistake as well. If you do this, then money can disappear from your account. State Bank of India has given information about this by tweeting.

The State Bank of India has written in a tweet that when you scan a QR code, you do not get money. You only get a message that your bank account is debited for amount X ‘amount. Do not scan QRCodes shared by anyone until you have to pay.

When in doubt, contact the bank

Apart from this, the bank said that if customers have any kind of doubt, then you should contact the bank directly. SBI issues alerts to its customers from time to time to avoid such fraud. Earlier, the bank had also issued a warning about fraudulent transactions happening on debit cards.

According to the video, online thugs send QR codes to customers for payment of dining tables. After this, the customer is alerted that the QR code is always used for payment and not for receiving payment. Therefore, they do not accept this request.
