New Delhi. If you are also an SBI customer then this news is of great use to you. The bank has issued a notice asking its customers to link PAN card with Aadhaar before June 30. The Income Tax Department has fixed 30 June 2021 as the last date for linking PAN card with Aadhaar card. If you do not do this by June 30, then your PAN card will become inactive. Apart from this, under the Income Tax Act, you will have to pay a fine of Rs 1000.

The bank tweeted, “We advise our customers to link their PAN with Aadhaar to avoid any inconvenience and continue to enjoy uninterrupted banking service.”

This is the easy process of linking?
Through the Income Tax website, you can find out whether your PAN is linked with Aadhaar or not. For this, first go to the Income Tax website. Enter the name, PAN number and Aadhaar number as given in the Aadhar card. Tick square only if the year of birth is mentioned in the Aadhar card. Now enter the captcha code. Now click on the Link Aadhaar button. Your PAN will be linked with Aadhaar.
How to link PAN with Aadhaar by sending SMS
For this, you have to type UIDPAN on your phone, then type 12 digit Aadhaar number and then write 10 digit PAN number. Now send the message mentioned in step 1 to 567678 or 56161.
How to make deactivate pan operative
Let us tell you that the inactive PAN card can be made operative. For this you have to do an SMS. After going to the message box and entering the 12 digit PAN number from your registered mobile, you will have to enter the 10 digit Aadhaar number by giving space and SMS to 567678 or 56161.
